Sheila's Bio

Sheila A. Ping, M. S. CCC-SLP

Sheila A. Ping, M. S. CCC-SLP currently works as an SLP for Total Pediatrics Therapy Center in Somerset, KY, where she serves ages 1-15. Prior to working at Total Pediatrics, she retired from Pulaski County School District, where she worked for 29 years. She started as an SLPA in the district in 1993 after receiving her Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders from Western Kentucky University. She then completed her Masters of Science and Rank 1 in Communication Disorders in 2002, also from Western Kentucky University. Throughout her career as an SLPA/SLP, she has worked with numerous disorders, including but not limited to: Autism, Down’s Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Prader Willi, DiGeorge Syndrome, development disorders of language and articulation/phonological disorders.

She enjoys working with all ages and loves seeing her clients meet goals. She also finds it important to make sure that strategies/therapy ideas are explained to parents so they can be an integral part of their child’s progress.
